Hi! My name is Stacey Williams but you'll probably hear the students call me Swilly. I have been happily married for 25 years and have two twenty year old sons. I also have a new grandson who is the cutest baby on the planet. My father was a career Navy man so I had the opportunity to live and attend school in many different locations in the United States. I graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas, in May of 1989. I then attended the University of Central Arkansas where I graduated in 1994 with a BSE in Biology. My latest educational endeavor occurred at Arkansas Tech University where I graduated in July of 2010 with a Masters Degree in School Counseling.
One of my favorite things to do is travel. I love to go new places and learn new things. I also enjoy creating gifts for people (quilts, cards, pictures, etc.) as well as reading, watching television, and playing Black Ops and Minecraft. Being a lifelong learner is extremely important to me and right now I am engaging in a new hobby - kayaking. My husband and I have a bucket list to travel in all 50 states. So far we have kayaked in 22. One of my favorite quotes is from the movie Soul Surfer, "I don't need easy. I just need possible." I believe that hard work and a positive attitude go a long way in making dreams come true.
This is my 24th year in the Bergman School system and I can honestly say I feel blessed to be part of such a great community. Given the opportunity to send my sons to school anywhere in the area, I would choose Bergman hands down. I look forward to many more productive years at Bergman and hope I have the opportunity to visit with you soon!
