Bergman School has implemented the Take Flight Dyslexia curriculum for students with markers for dyslexia since the 2015-2016 school year. All students K-2nd are required to be screened. Level 2 screeners are given to students that have markers from the initial universal screener and/or per teacher request. The following data has been compiled for the 2017/2018 school year:
Students tested beyond initial screening: 39. 10 of those were able to receive interventions with 6 additional students beginning the 2018/2019 school year:
33 Students received services at some point during the school year. Elementary students: 20; Middle School: 11; and High school: 2.
We ended the year with 24 students in intervention groups. 9 students either moved schools or exited the program.
